We have a network of specialist training providers offering a range of dairy training courses and qualifications – including milk and cheese training – to help individuals and businesses achieve their goals.

Through our UK-wide network of training providers we can offer a range of dairy training courses including:

  • Food chain technology, dairy processing technology and dairy quality management
  • Liquid milk and cream processing
  • Hard cheese, soft cheese and artisan cheese making
  • Dairy microbiology, dairy science and evaporation and drying of dairy products
  • Dairy plant, equipment hygiene and CIP
  • Ice cream manufacture, yoghurt technology and milk pasteurisation for EHOs

Training for a thriving dairy industry

Dairy is vital to the economy with 21,900 people employed in GB across 500 businesses.

The industry contributes 7% of the UK food and drink manufacturing & processing industry’s turnover, 6% of all UK FDMP exports and 13 billion litres of milk are processed every year. But it’s only by investing in the right skills and training that the sector can not only survive, but also grow.

Project Eden

Recently, and with our help, dairy companies have been collaborating more closely to ensure their requirement for skills is met. Specifically, Project Eden which brought together dairy companies to ensure that the UK has the very best dairy technology training in Europe. It provides an opportunity for all companies to train their key staff to become the dairy leaders of tomorrow. Further projects are underway as a result of this successful working partnership.
